For nearsighted patients who are not candidates for custom LASIK, Verisyse™ lenses are a surgical implantation option that will function in the same manner as contacts or glasses. Placed inside the eye between the cornea and the iris, Verisyse™ lenses give your eye an alternative lens to focus through, providing quality vision without the hassle of removal or cleaning. Made of hard plastic, the lens is placed into the eye using a small incision in the cornea. The lens is gently attached to the iris to hold it in place. Intended to remain in the eye permanently, Verisyse™ lenses offer Morristown and Morris County, New Jersey patients an opportunity to not only improve their vision but also improve their life.
Introducing the latest implantable lens - VISIAN™ ICL
Nearsighted patients who are sick of thick glasses now have another safe and effective surgical solution with VISIAN™ ICL. This state-of-the-art lens provides an alternative to Verisyse™ lenses for Morristown or Morris County, New Jersey patients who may prefer a smaller incision in the eye. Where Verisyse™ lenses sit in between the cornea and the iris, VISIAN™ lenses are folded and inserted through a minor incision and implanted behind the iris. The VISIAN™ lens is made of Collamer®, a material that ensures superior vision quality and is removable should there be any need.

VISX Custom LASIK technology
Dr. Reisman now offers patients the latest in custom LASIK technology from VISX systems, pioneers in laser vision correction. The VISX technique involves the use of a Wavescan™ Wavefront™ device to map the eye's visual irregularities, and to analyze the way light passes through the eye. From there the Wavescan™ map of the patient is programmed into instructions for the Star S4™ laser. The marriage of the Wavescan™ device and the Star S4™ laser now represents what VISX has termed CustomVue™ technology.
Intralase all-laser technology
In an effort to increase the safety of eye surgery, Dr. Reisman now offers all-laser LASIK using IntraLase® technology. The IntraLase® laser has introduced a computer-controlled, less invasive approach to the creation of a corneal flap in the first step of LASIK surgery. Traditionally performed with a microkeratome blade, that first incision into the cornea has been the cause of most complications during and after LASIK surgery. With IntraLase® technology, Dr. Reisman can now offer a safer alternative and optimize results for his patients.
